A daring venture

In a real sports triathlon the contestant completes three different disciplines, swimming, biking and running. This music triathlon has the disciplines cello, piano and recorder.
The three instruments belong to three different instrument categories, and have very different properties. The music on this CD is a selection of pieces, which shows the most fascinating characteristics of each instrument. The deep sounds of the cello, equilibristic recorder tones and rich harmonics for piano.
All three instruments are played by Ida Riegels, a graduate from the Royal Danish Academy of Music by Professor Morten Zeuthen, Jakob Kullberg and Tobias van der Pals. She has received advanced training on the recorder with Kæthe Kristiansen, and early piano studies were under Bente Rømhild. 
 Ida has attended cello master classes with The Tokyo Quartet, Anner Bylsma, Henrik Brendstrup, Toke Møldrup, Hans Jørgen Jensen and Bjorn Bantock. Master class recorder teachers are Lene Langballe, Tish Berlin, and Michala Petri.
